Our Story
The Journey Of Eyecan
Our founder Nimish Jain had the idea for Eyecan when he came across a visually impaired boy whom many people were attempting to assist. What was startling was that the boy himself never really asked for help. This scene stayed with him for the duration of the event and after it was over, he asked the boy if he needed help.
His response had a transformative impact on Nimish. He developed a small object detection module he tested it for a week on the same boy. Emotionally he reverted to Nimish, proclaiming that it made him feel independent. It was at that moment that Nimish realized the potential that such technology could have if it were democratized in India. Eyecan’s vision is to address this issue so that such individuals are able to live their lives as independently as possible.
